Our Summer’s Looking Bright! | End-of-the-Year Bulletin Board

Summer Elementary Bulletin Board

Jacquelien over at Kids Artists did this project with her elementary art students and we think, on a slightly larger scale, it would make a super cute end-of-the-year bulletin board! Simply invite your kiddos to draw a picture of what they’re looking forward to most – an activity, a vacation, a family tradition, etc. – during summer vacation and add a pair of sunglasses!

Our Summer’s Looking Bright!

  • Background: Yellow bulletin board paper.
  • Title: “Our Summer’s Looking Bright!”
  • Border: Colorful trimmer or black and white patterned bulletin board border.
  • Decoration: While we love the black and silver frames Jacquelien had her kiddos, consider having your students create the frames from neon/bright colored card stock to give it a more summery look! Arrange the frames around the board, being sure to label who the sunglasses belong to.

I am using this idea for first of year. “Our Year’s Looking Bright”. Taking a picture of kids with sunglasses on for bulletin board. Then each child design glasses like on this site with what they are looking forward to learning about to put with their picture.
